Over the past month, I’ve been creating my own website here @technowitchjune.com. And now it’s finally fresh & hot, ready for an initial launch. Welcome! I want to take this time to introduce myself, and introduce the space. Who am I, and what can you expect from this website now and in the far future? Lets get to it! 😀
Who am I?
As you may have guessed, I’m Juniper! Often go by June. I find it hard introducing myself, as we’re all just consciousness with added labels & identities sprinkled on top. There’s a lot of things I am and a lot of things I’m not, but they’re all derived from my core values of kindness, curiosity & creativity.
I love making things and learning how things work, it’s why I’m a software engineering gal. I love exploring new worlds and learning new mechanics. It’s why I get lost in video games & fantasy worlds.
I love creating structure and order, making sense out of chaos. I love researching and finely-tuning systems for optimal function. This trickles down into enjoying modding Skyrim, creating a beautiful space for myself, making my meals extra healthy, finding ways I can improve my biometrics & more.
I love my friends & family. I want the best for everyone & for everyone to be okay and to thrive. It’s why I show up at social events & do my best to support others and be there to the best of my ability.
This is who I am. A creative, curious & kind biohacking techno witch trying her best. I’m here creating to bring joy into my own life and others, just trying to do what I can just like all of us.
The future of technowitchjune.com
Now that the infrastructure of the Cybergarden is provisioned, what can you expect to find here going forward? In short: a whole lot & whatever I feel like! This website will store anything & everything I create that I want to share with the world. This website will not cover a single niche, but everything I find interesting & important. Here’s a few domains & projects I have planned:
Longevity & Biohacking
“A healthy person has a thousand wishes, a sick person only one” -Confucius
Our health is the largest rate-limiting factor directly enforcing our quality of life and how much time we have. It determines what we can accomplish, and how we can show up in our day-to-day. It is the difference between living over 100 and still thriving, having accomplished decades of goals and being dead before 20. It enhances or hinders every aspect of our conscious experience, which in turn defines our subjective reality itself. To experience life to the fullest & to be best able to show up as the best version of yourself, optimal health is required.
I realized this at a subjectively young age (early 20s) and made health my #1 priority. An early scare with dissociation taught me how fragile & precious our conscious experience is. I’d taken my health for granted until I began to lose it. For a few years I fixated on healing myself, mentally & physically. I learned a lot, made some mistakes, and continue to evolve today. Where it used to be driven completely by fear, I now see it as a fun game. How can I best take care of myself so I can have the best life possible for as long as possible, and use my vitality to support others?
My effort is apparent in my vitals. My psychiatrist has said I have “the best bloodwork she has ever seen”, and it’s all due to the actions I take. I’ve lost 70 pounds, reached a fasting blood glucose of 85, optimal cholesterol and other biomarkers all trending in the right direction. We’re often told time, the most valuable resource, can’t be bought. But it can. We can acquire more time through the actions we take: dietary, exercise, sleep, supplements & other interventions.
On this website, I plan to discuss my current protocols and the science behind them, past blunders, and the important mindset shift towards valuing health as a collective. Taking care of ourselves is the greatest act of love for ourselves and others, enabling us to experience and live as we desire. I’d like to provide perspective and actionable interventions to help us all achieve this end.
Life Wisdom, Experiences & Truths
You learn a lot as you age, it’s true! Throughout my life I’ve overcome hardship, made mistakes and have had transformative experiences. I’ve reflected on them, I’ve learned a lot, and I’ll continue to. While I believe you need to experience something to truly know it, I also think we can learn a great deal from sharing our experiences with others. Here I’d like to impart life lessons or core truths I’ve come to realize that have helped me grow as a person. I’m already planning on discussing what I’ve learned from my life-changing shrooms journey, my experiences healing from C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, panic & dissociation, how I realized I’m transgender and I wanted to transition, and more!
Creative Projects
This is where the fun begins 😀 Beyond practical advice & knowledge, this is what we live for, to have novel, enriching experiences & just experience joy creating and living. Here’s a sample of some projects I’m currently cultivating:
FrostNight II: A Mage RogueLike
Multiple years ago, I created my first game FrostNight during a game jam at my college. FrostNight is a 2D, top-down endless survival action game where you gather wood to build campfires & fight back against the endless horde of Carroteers and Pitchforkers. The player character in FrostNight can dash, melee attack, cast fireballs and craft a few items. I’ve always wanted to expand this demo into a larger game, or perhaps a sequel.
Introducing FrostNight II, a RogueLike survival game where you play as a mage learning spells, gathering materials, and building defenses as you venture outwards in a hostile, surreal world. The main differences include moving from Unity to Godot, expanding to 3D, and making it a fully-fledged game!
This will be a multi-year project, and I’m excited to learn & develop it alongside you all!
Elderon: An Otherworldly D&D Setting
Have you ever sat down to play DnD with your friends and just felt exhausted of the constant cliches? Sick of the classic fantasy setting, craving something new? That’s where Elderon comes in: a science fantasy post-apocalyptic desert setting where creativity, wits and ingenuity are vital to survive this strange new world.
After the cataclysmic event known as Skyfall 60 years ago following the Battle of the Floating Mountains, civilization was forced underground. Reemerging 10 years ago escaping the horrors of the tunnels, they’ve found themselves on an alien world. Desert as far as the horizon with valuable old-world-ruins buried beneath dunes of sand. Wreckage from alien spacecraft, evolved creatures and new species hunt the surface and underground. Society is rebuilding, desperately clinging to the resources of the past as they face off against new threats foreign and domestic. How will all these factions adapt to a true global reset?
Elderon was made with the intention of being completely foreign to the standard high-fantasy setting with a focus on new survival & crafting mechanics and a whole new world to explore. Classic D&D races have been reimagined to integrate with Elderon’s history alongside new species that have emerged since The Settling of the Sands. It is a setting meant to spark imagination and creativity, to craft and explore the great unknown, to survive with your wits against all odds. While it has some parallels to Dark Sun and Fallout, the difference lies in retaining the light-hearted fantasy undertones in a harsh world. Despite it’s ferocity, the clever adventurer has many means to rise above the dunes.
I plan to release my current documents on Elderon, along with individual lore pieces, questlines for DMs, and updates based on feedback! This project is on the backburner, but I’d like to at least share what I’ve already created and continue to iterate on it!
YouTube Content
Tasha’s profile pic wasn’t just for show, it’s a fully-rigged VTuber model! I’m planning to make video game content where Tasha is actually in the game she’s playing. I’ve seen it done a few times, and I think it could be fun! What enthralls me about video games is their excellent ability to be a storytelling vessel, carrying you through your own narrative. I want to make entertaining content that values our time and gets to the meat of it. Not long playthroughs or grindy shovelware, but fun & novel narratives.
Beyond gaming, I’m considering turning future blogposts into videos to reach a wider audience and enhanced accessibility. Videos offer another way to engage with each other, and I see a lot of value in discussing life or anything else I’m exploring in both formats.
Finally, game development vlogs (or devlogs for short) are something I’m really excited to do! Documenting the journey of creating video games together. The highs, lows, and fun bugs along the way! 😀
Fun Pages!
technowitchjune.com has evolved tremendously over the past month. I began it merely as an aggregate site for my creativity. As I’ve developed it, it’s become a creative outlet in and of itself. I’ve loved styling the website, discovering fun features I could add, and adding functionality. Because besides being a website, it’s also my virtual home. I want to add pages that exist solely to add coziness to this space, like an eternal fireplace page. Or perhaps a page with a graph, showing how all the website’s pages are interconnected. Maybe make a physical homepage for the Cybergarden with art to match. What about a page-spanning audio widget that plays calm, ambient synthy music? There’s so many cool ideas! If you have any, please leave them in the comments, I’d love to read them 😀
Free Resources
One of the purposes of technowitchjune.com is to empower others. Part of that is equipping them with actionable tools & information to enable them to enact positive change in their lives. To that end, I want to share resources that’ve helped me! Some I’ve already thought of include my current health routines, habits & how I’ve implemented them, my finances & recipe spreadsheets, and anything else I create that I believe can help others.
JoySparkers
I discovered the phrase “sparks joy” during my transformative shrooms journey a few months ago, completely independent of Marie Kondo who also uses this phrase, and I find myself using it daily. To truly live, to actually enjoy living, we must surround ourselves with what sparks joy for us and actively notice and express gratitude for it. In this category, I want to highlight the things in my day-to-day that sparks joy in me, and makes my life feel just a little bit brighter. I’m already planning to write up a post on the wonderful ampersand (I mean just look at this lil guy: & !!!), cooking & supplements as alchemy, and the joy of color. My hope is this category helps brighten your day, injecting magic into the little moments :3
Recipe Highlights
Food has always been a major part of my life. My father cooked me wonderfully tasty meals throughout childhood, I’ve been vegetarian, vegan, omnivore, pescatarian-ketogenic, gluten-free, and back to vegan again! My palette has expanded and continues to grow as I do, and my priorities with cooking have evolved. I now cook for optimal health while enjoying a tasty, varied diet. In this section I’ll be spotlighting my favorite nourishing recipes and how I’ve tweaked them to be even healthier!
Everything Else all at Once
This list is only the beginning, and by no means all-encompassing. I’m a complex individual and there’s no rules on my site! Maybe one day I’ll delve deeper into art, fashion, or something else completely unexpected. But what will stay the same is my kindness, creativity and curiosity. This is a place to explore this wonderful experience we’re all sharing called life, there’s no arbitrary reason to limit it! So let us go forth and enjoy it together. Hope to see you all there.
With kindness,
-Juniper
